Description

The Hardee Ranch is the definition of rugged yet accessible land.  A beautiful valley sits right in the middle of the northeastern pasture containing mature oaks on the ridges with a lush grass field in the bottom that would make an ideal food plot for the recreational hunter. The deep ravine along the western portion feeds water and provides high-ground on both sides of the East Fork of the Gunsolus Creek. This partially rock-bottomed creek has been carved out of the hills through the years while growing gigantic trees to attract and hold the abundant wildlife in the area.  Along the creek banks lie massive, moss-covered boulders; some with holes etched all the way through from years of spring water running out of the mountains.  Multiple knolls and high-points create ideal build-sites with easy access.  The Hardee is currently grazed and managed by one of the current owners who has taken the time to keep the land manageable with good fencing and roads to access all of the character hiding in the rough.  The Hardee Ranch is scenic acreage yielding outstanding views of the "painted' western skyline.

Broker's Comments -- I enjoy being on this property.  The roads make it easy to ride around and appreciate the land's wild characteristics.  Many portions of the ranch contain spectacular views, not just the potential build sites.  The NE 160 feels and rides big. The valley captures the character with three good ponds and elevation changes on all sides.  The southern 320 has a couple of highpoints along the south providing tremendous views down into a wild creek-bottom.  This beautiful draw runs water on top of the limestone in several parts while feeding down to the boulders on the creek.  These massive limestone rocks are a sight to explore with huge cracks and beautiful markings from years of rushing water.  PK Raw Water provides unique opportunities as well, although the water cannot run into an earthen pond of any kind. The abandoned water wells show promise; one is labeled a SPRING WELL (a first for me in this County), and this well reportedly has never gone dry (actually says that in the written report...Contact for more details).
